Talden was created around a simple product judgment: AI should help a lawyer understand and move the matter, not leave the lawyer to reconstruct the work from a series of answers and drafts.
Why Talden Exists
The hard part is not producing text. It is moving the matter responsibly.
Sophisticated legal work is a system of facts, documents, authorities, instructions, deadlines, revisions, and decisions. A draft may be useful, but the lawyer still needs to know what the product understood, what it relied on, what remains unresolved, and what requires professional judgment.
Talden is designed to keep those elements connected from the beginning of the workflow through the lawyer’s final review.
Founder-Market Fit
The workflow was familiar before the software existed.
Billy Dentino’s legal career has included corporate and M&A work at White & Case, global M&A at eBay, a Ninth Circuit clerkship, and corporate, tax, regulatory, and venture-related roles. That experience exposed the recurring gap between an answer and a completed professional outcome: matter context, source discipline, work sequencing, revision, approval, and defensible judgment.
Talden translates that practical understanding into a product built around the matter rather than the prompt.
